Motorola Launches Moto X Play and Moto X Style with 5.1.1 Android

After few hours of launching Moto G (3rd Generation), Motorola has introduced the Moto X smartphone with two variants namely- Moto X Play and Moto X Style. These smartphones will be available for sale in the month of August and September respectively. The launch has taken place simultaneously in three different events held in New York, Sao Paolo and London. The prices and launch date for India have not been revealed yet. However, reports suggest that Moto X Play is expected to be priced around INR 30,000 while Moto X Style is likely to be tagged at approx INR 36,000.

Moto X Style offers a 5.7 inch QuadHD display with 515ppi pixel density. It flaunts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC along with 1.8 GHz hexa-core processor, which is mated to 3 GB of RAM. Equipped with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, this smartphone also houses features like Moto Voice, Moto Actions, Moto Assist, Moto Display, etc. It is available with 16, 32 and 64 GB storage options. Besides this, there is also a micro SD card slot which adds up an extra capacity of 128 GB.

Coming to other features, it gets a 5 MP front camera with flash and a 21 MP rear camera. It has the maximum capacity of shooting a total of 4,000 videos. The smartphone also supports the Moto Maker Program that enables the user to customize it as per his/her preferences. Users can also choose between a leather or a wooden mobile cover.

Discussing Moto X Play, it gets a 5.5 inch HD display with 400ppi. It also sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC having 1.7 GHz octa-core processor clubbed with RAM measuring 2GB. Just like the X Style, it also offers 5.1.1 Android Lollipop, a 21MP rear and 5MP front camera. It is likely to come with just two storage options of 16 and 32 GB with a micro SD card slot adding extra storage capacity.
