MWC 2017: Meizu Rolls Out Invites for its Launch Event on February 28

Meizu, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm has confirmed to make its debut at MWC 2017. The company has started rolling out the invitations for its launching event, which is going to take place on Tuesday, February 28 at 10 am local time in Barcelona (2:30 pm IST). Notable, it still has not revealed any details about the products being launched.

Interestingly, the company has quoted ‘faster than ever’ on its invitations, which indicates that the upcoming smartphone will arrive with a really fast processor. Still, there is no information unveiled regarding the upcoming products and that makes a bit tough to make any prediction.

The company in a separate emailed statement said, “Our maiden appearance at MWC will be the perfect platform for Meizu to showcase its latest wireless solutions and products including a major technical achievement that promises to offer a significant enhancement in user experience.”

Apart from this, Meizu earlier this month launched its M5s in China. The Android smartphone made its appearance in in two variants, which includes a 16GB inbuilt storage variant at CNY 799 (Rs 7,800 approx) and a 32GB variant at CNY 999 (Rs 9,700 approx). Moreover, the Dual-SIM handset has been made available in Rose Gold, Moonlight Silver, Star Grey, and Champagne Gold colours.

As per further specifications are concerned, the GSM handset is blessed with a 5.2-inch HD IPS display of resolution 720X1280 pixels along with 282 ppi of pixel density. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 SoC paired with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. In term of optics, the smartphone packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and two-tone flash.
