Next line of Android One Smartphones will introduce in January

Few days earlier, Google’s Android One smartphones had made appearance in the Indian market. This was the first time, when a US based Company has come and introduced its devices first in India as they know what they can achieve here, nowhere they will achieve at a very fast pace. And, our country has proved it true with a huge positive response for its Android One smartphones. And, looking at this inchoative response, the makers of such devices, Karbonn, Micromax and Spice have decided to bring a second wave of Android One smartphones.

Earlier, three Android One smartphones had been unveiled by Micromax, Karbonn Mobiles and Spice, dubbed Canvas A1, Sparkle V and One Dream UNO Mi-498 respectively. All are priced between Rs. 6,299 and Rs. 6,499. It is expected that Karbonn Mobiles would come first to bring the second wave of Android One smartphones.

Shashin Devsare, Executive Director of Karbonn Mobiles told to PTI, "Smartphone penetration in India still remains low and we believe there is still a huge scope...We will look at bringing in a device by December-end." Company has plans to launch the second Android One smartphone range by end of December 2014 or in first quarter of 2015.

On the other side, Google has also revealed about its plan to reach in the market of Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka with its affordable Android One smartphones later in coming months. It is also said that the popular search engine giant has added few international mobile manufacturing industries including Acer, Alcatel OneTouch, HTC, Asus and Lenovo in its programme of affordable Android One handsets.

Few other domestic brands like Xolo, Lava and Intex will also be joined the line to bring such devices for the Indian market. Being a partner of Google, Intex will confer the best device with best specs and features which would be priced low to keep the common users’ pocket in mind. Although, some reports are suggesting that Intex would bring its Android One devices next year in January.

These devices are designed very perfectly and can give the direct competition to other low-cost devices with high-end features such as Moto E, Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Micromax Unite and many more.
