HMD Global is conducting an event 24 February in Barcelona where the company might launch the much anticipated Nokia 9 PureView flagship. Alongside the premium smartphone, the company is also planning to introduce the entry-level smartphone in the form of Nokia 1 Plus. The rumoured specifications of the entry-level smartphone have started surfacing on the internet reveals that Nokia 1 Plus will come with a low- resolution display, 1GB of RAM and a MediaTek SoC. Interestingly, the alleged Nokia 1 Plus is expected to run on Android 9 Pie with (Go edition).
The leaks of Nokia 1 Plus has been surfaced online as one of the technological websites revealing the key specifications of the device. As per the leaks, the upcoming Nokia smartphone will be having a single front-facing camera along with thick bezels which is not surprising us at all as it is to be the entry-level device. At the software front, HMD Global's will offer Android Pie out-of-the-box, however, it is not confirmed whether it would support Go edition which is specifically designed for the entry-level devices.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Nokia 1 Plus is said to feature a screen resolution of 480x960 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio and 213 ppi pixels density, the screen size of the device is yet to be revealed. The upcoming entry-level Nokia smartphone is likely to be powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739WW SoC clocked at 1.5 GHz coupled with a PowerVR GE8100 GPU ticking alongside.
The leaks so far claim that the Nokia 1 Plus will get 1GB of RAM for the storage purpose, however, the internal storage capacity is not available at the moment. Currently, we don’t know whether the device would support microSD card or not. The leaks do not reveal anything about the camera sensors of the Nokia 1 Plus. For the connectivity purpose, the smartphone will get dual SIM (Nano), GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, alongside a Micro-USB port. Sensors on the board will be the same as the previously launched Nokia 1. The details regarding the expected launch date and pricing availability of the Nokia 1 Plus is yet to be revealed
In the connectivity department, the Nokia 1 Plus will have support for dual SIM (Nano), However, details about the Nokia 1 Plus' pricing and an expected launch timeline are yet to be revealed.
