OnePlus 6 Received Android 9.0 Pie Software Update

A good news for the OnePlus 6 users, as the Shenzhen-based Chinese smartphone manufacturer has announced the Android 9.0 Pie open beta software update in its latest flagship.

It must be noted that the OnePlus 6 is the company first smartphone that has received latest Android 9.0 Pie OxygenOS software update after the official debuting of Google software operating system for smartphones the Android Pie that was unveiled in the last month.

Along with Android Pie, the Chinese company has provided the new customization features such as Do Not Disturb mode with adjustable settings and Gaming Mode 3.0 in the
OxygenOS Open Beta 1. OnePlus 6 users are required to manually download and install the new software beta update in their devices.

According to the OnePlus Forums, the OxygenOS Open Beta 1 gets the new interface for Android 9.0 Pie. It comes with a default Android Pie gesture navigation feature that is similar to the gesture controls that we have seen on the iPhone X.

OnePlus is offering various customized notification features such as Brand new UI, new features and system improvements in the OxygenOS Open Beta 1 in the latest iteration Android P Operating System software update.

Furthermore, OnePlus offer more customized features such as Supported accent color customization, New Do Not Disturb mode with adjustable settings, New Gaming Mode 3.0 that features text notification mode and added notification for 3rd party calls

Steps To Install OxygenOS Open Beta 1 Android 9.0 Pie Software Update

If the users want to upgrade the software from Android Oreo to Android Pie, they are required to download the ROM upgrade package from a dedicated OxygenOS server after than they have to copy that package in their OnePlus internal storage. Once the users copied the package, click on Settings > System updates and then tap on the gear icon from the top right to go to Local upgrade.

Users have to click on on the installation package and instantly upgrade > System upgrade to 100%. After then the users have to tap on Reboot the device to update the software successfully.
