Oppo A59 With 13-Megapixel Camera Launched

Oppo the famous Chinese smartphone maker who is also known for manufacturing MP3 players, portable media players and other electronic stuff has come up with a brand new Android smartphone under the name of Oppo A59. The company has as of now unveiled the product exclusively in China market at a price tag of CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs. 18,500) and as per the reports, the product would be made available for purchase from June 18 from company's official store itself.

Additionally, the company has decided to unveil the product in two color variants namely Gold and Rose, but the enthusiastic users are still awaiting information as to when would the company unveil the same product in the international market.

In terms of software specifications, the GSM-based handset features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display that offers a pixel density of 267ppi alongside offering a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. Under the hood, the device comes equipped with an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. Similar to Oppo R9 and R9 Plus, the company has equipped this smartphone with a 32GB of built-in storage with an expansion capacity of up to 128GB. The device further operates on Android Lollipop v5.1 with a layer of company's ColorOS 3.0 UI on the top.

On the photography front, the Dual-SIM smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera features an LED flash, support for PDAF and has the ability of recording videos at 1080p resolution. The smartphone additionally features a fingerprint scanner as well embedded on the home button itself and as per company claims, it can unlock the smartphone in just 0.22 seconds.

The smartphone has a metal unibody design and houses a 3075mAh battery as well as dual speakers on the bottom panel alongside the charging slot.

The smartphone dimensionally measures 154.5x76x7.38mm with a weight of nearly 160 grams. It offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB in terms of connectivity and the official listing of the Oppo A59 confirms that the smartphone is also compatible with Indian LTE bands.
