In 2018, Oppo Find X smartphone was launched which carried a motorized slider design. In the same year, two more devices were launched with the technology having slider design with two separate halves namely the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 and Honor Magic 2. If the design is to be seen, only the top portion that embedded the display could slide up and down. So to improve the slider design of the Oppo Find X, Oppo has given a patent design of the new slider design. The main thing that will attract the customers is the dual front cameras and dual rear cameras.
The patent sketch discloses that the device will flaunt a higher screen-to-body ratio and this can only be possible because of the super-slim bezels. Same like the previous smartphones, the chin at the bottom of the handset is a little bit thick. The smartphone is expected to be furnished with a motorized slider which is integrated with the dual front cameras and the smartphone maker might not add two distinct halves. The two front-facing cameras will be hidden at the back of the display and will only be seen when the slider is moved up.
The patent images also reveal that the approx one inch of the back slides up. The rear cameras are positioned vertically along with an LED flash unit which is not hidden because they are positioned in the top-left corner of the rear panel of the smartphone. The fingerprint sensor at the back is not seen which indicates that the smartphone will come with an in-display fingerprint reader. It might also be possible that the smartphone might not carry fingerprint scanner and might come with advanced 3D facial recognition same like the Find X because of the dual front-facing camera setup.
The volume rockers are positioned on the left edge of the smartphone while the power buttons can be seen on the right edge. The overall design seems to be really good. But we have to see whether Oppo will launch the smartphone which might be dubbed as Find Z with the new slider design or will choose another new design. It will be interesting to see what all new will the company embed in the smartphone.
