As an aftermath, Xiaomi, the Chinese brand who has spinned off Redmi as its sub-brand in the recent past, has set high goals for the brand and has got Snapdragon 855-powered flagship confirmed under the name of Redmi.
There’s not much information regarding the Snapdragon 855-powered Redmi flagship, it is just on the bases of a couple of images originating in China are betted to be the first look of the Snapdragon 855-powered Redmi flagship. When we look at one of the images closely, we find Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun near the much talked and alleged Redmi smartphone which is expected to be arriving later this year.
If the leaked images really portray the upcoming high-end Redmi smartphone, then it is confirmed that the smartphone would not be featuring a notch but a pop-up camera. Also, it could be coming with a peppy red paint job.

Just after the announcement which was made regarding Redmi’s declaration as a sub-brand by the Company, reports were generated which speculated that a Redmi flagship which is powered by Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 SoC, is in development. This is what has been confirmed later by the Redmi Chief.
There has been rumours coming regarding this smartphone since long but actual story regarding specifications, designs, features and other details have not yet come and is a mystery. However, the image leak has given some idea regarding the same. The highly alleged flagship image gives idea and the first glimpse of the upcoming smartphone which could be proved to be an affordable flagship if the Company follows its tradition of competitive pricing.
The Spy image shows Lei Jun, the Xiaomi chief, holding a phone whereas there is a red-colour phone which could be seen lying on the table he is sitting at. This phone would be the Snapdragon 855-based Redmi flagship.
The image came into being via an account named Mobile Uncle on Weibo, zoomed on the alleged Redmi flagship it shows the handset’s punchy red colour. It is shown that the smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone appearing at either the top or the bottom edge of the purported Redmi flagship.
The related text in context to the upcoming high-end Redmi smartphone is speculated to be featuring a ‘lifting camera' which might be a pop-up camera that could readily fit in with a form factor without a display notch.
As there has been no official announcement made and nothing has been unveiled officially, it is suggested that the leaked report and the images should not be taken into consideration for the images of the same smartphone but could be the images of some other smartphone from Xiaomi.
