Reliance Jio of Mukesh Ambani has reached the heights. After the Jio network, Ambani brought JioPhones in the market and now after two iterations of its 4G enabled feature phone, the third smartphone is under the hood i.e. JioPhone 3 which will be launched later this year. Reliance Jio has already launched JioPhone in 2017 and JioPhone 2 in 2018. It is expected that telecommunication will come up with the JioPhone 3.
As per the reports, a Jio executive gave the details of the JioPhone 3. The report also states that the JioPhone 3 will be sent to the offline stores in July 2019 and during that time only pre-booking of the smartphone will begin. The customers then can purchase the same in August 2019. The dates has not been disclosed yet. The JioPhone will be available via Jio stores, Reliance Digital stores and the official Jio website.
As per the reports, the upcoming smartphone will sport a 5-inch touchscreen display, 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory which can be expanded using microSD card. The cameras will also be improved with 5MP rear camera sensor and 2MP camera at front for selfies.
But till now, there is no news about the OS of the smartphone. It is expected that it will run on KaiOS if the smartphone is feature phone or Android Go and launched as a smartphone.
The price of the JioPhone 3 is higher than the previous iterations i.e might cost Rs 4,500. The first model i.e. JioPhone came with a security deposit of just Rs 1,500 which will be refunded on giving back the phone after 3 years. The JioPhone 2 which had QWERTY keyboard and larger display costs Rs 2,999. So we can say that with this higher price sticker of JioPhone 3 there will be new features added and improvements will be done.
