Jolla is the new name in the field of mobile devices , this is introduced in 2013 by the MeeGo team of ex-Nokia employees after being dislodged from the company. Its sailfish OS is based on open source operating system, linux. Basically in 2011 Nokia has decided to introduce Linux-based new operating system and named it as MeeGo after joining the project with Intel. But after impairment in shares, the brand has decided to stop the MeeGo based devices and concentrate on windows Phone. So that we can say these devices are the successor of Nokia's N9, which was the last phone in MeeGo category.

Jolla had chosen gesture-oriented user interface for its Sailfish OS in place of on-screen buttons like Android. It will make you able to switch between “screens” smoothly. It has introduced multitasking execution . This OS is also compatible with Ubuntu applications on API-level as well as Android apps. It includes attractive colorful thumbnails and large icons for videos and music albums.
