Samsung Could Debut Note 8 Before iPhone 8 With Big, Curved Display

After the Note 7 hoodoo, Samsung is reportedly planning to bring another Note series smartphone in the market, and according to a new report obtained from a Korean Media, the company may introduce the new smartphone ahead of its biggest rival Apple’s announcement for the upcoming iPhone 8.

The leading South Korean smartphone manufacturer’s upcoming Galaxy Note 8 is supposed to be blessed with the same design language as its current flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone, but with a wider and meaner look. It is believed to feature a 6.3-inch 4K display, which will be curved on the side edges and stretched to the top and bottom corners, pulling out the physical home button. According to some reports by Korean Herald, the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 smartphone will pack the same ‘Infinity Display’ and will be seen in August this year.

Apple iPhone 8

Though the launching of Galaxy Note 8 ahead of iPhone 8 will not be surprising, as it has remained the norm for all Note phones religiously. The report also adds the availability of a dual camera setup along with a 12-megapixel sensor alongside a 13-megapixel sensor paired with a telephoto lens. The same setup can be seen in iPhone 7, but the difference is that it uses same 12-megapixel iSight camera for both subunits with a 28mm and a 56mm lens.

As it will be a Note series, it will definitely come with a stylus, the S-Pen. But instead of getting any major changes, it will remain same as the Galaxy Note 7’s S-Pen. Still, the company has redesigned it and it now comes with better sensitivity, prevention of reverse insert and is now water-resistant.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Apart from that, both of the leading smartphone manufacturers Apple and Samsung are said to feature an optical fingerprint sensor underneath the display of their upcoming flagship models. This will allow the gigantic firms to remove the physical front key from their handsets and still they can keep the fingerprint authentication access at front.

Meanwhile, there are some reports in the town which state that the company will likely to introduce the Note 7 FE (the refurbished Note 7 handsets) with a smaller battery in the market. Some rumours say that the refurbished handset will be just 5per cent cheaper than what the original Note 7, while others say it would be almost half of it. Keeping apart all the rumours, we will suggest you to just wait and see what the company has to offer, as the handset is going to be introduced this month.
