Samsung Galaxy S8 Launch Delayed, Expected to Come Costly Than Galaxy S7

Samsung, after the unfortunate mishappening with its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, will be unsurprisingly seen focusing on its new flagship smartphone, which has been rumored to be known as Galaxy S8. The company has reportedly delayed the launch of the handset a bit, as it wants to regain the faith of customers in the market. It was previously reported that the Galaxy S8 will be unveiled at MWC on February 26, 2017 at Barcelona, but now, things are a bit shifted and now can be expected to made an appearance in April, 2017.

A report assures that the company is going to organise a dedicated event in April 2017 for Galaxy S8 Launch and before that, it will work with some organisations to re-gain the trust in market. This report also says that Samsung has asked for comprehensive plans for the upcoming launch from the external agencies.

An additional reports is also out in the market touting that the upcoming flagship smartphone of the company will be more costly than its predecessor. Some Korean report cites including financial firm, Goldman Sachs, tipped the upcoming Galaxy S8 t be 15-20 percent more costly than Galaxy S7 series. As per the financial firm’s statement, the price increase is due to the rise in cost of raw material.

Apart from this, there are also some reports in the market touting that, the company this time has mounted the fingerprint sensor at the rear side of the handset. According to some reports in the market, the company in its upcoming model may integrate the fingerprint scanner at the rear side of handset with a button free design. The reports earlier predicted that the company may lose the home button in the next smartphone but now says that the button will be presence but not with a fingerprint scanner.

Samsung can also be the second techno giant to lose the 3.5mm jack from its smartphones. The Galaxy S8 is expected to feature only a USB Type-C port.
