Samsung Galaxy S8 US Pre-Order Goes 30 Percent Higher Than Galaxy S7

Samsung recently introduced its most awaited Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones in March 2017, and fueled it up with many ravishing features to keep users excited. Now, according to some recent reports, Samsung claims to receive the ‘Best Ever’ response from consumers on the pre-booking of new Galaxy S8 smartphone.

The company made an official statement to media that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ attracted 30 percent more pre-orders as compared to the last year’s Galaxy S7. After the Galaxy Note 7 failure, this great response of the users will give a sigh of relief to the company, as it shows that the goodwill of the brand and its Galaxy lineup is still intact. Just after the launch the pre-orders of the new handset has reached one million mark in South Korea alone.

Samsung-Galaxy-S8, Galaxy-S8+

Tim Baxter, president of Samsung Electronics America, said in a statement, “We are delighted to see the response to the Galaxy S8 and S8+. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are a result of that re-commitment and the market has responded — with a more than 30 percent year-over-year growth in pre-orders versus the record pre-orders we had with Galaxy S7, making it our best ever. The response is humbling, energising and points to a great launch week. We aim to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the name of a better, smarter, more exciting experience for our consumers.”

Early users have reported a red hue on the screen of their new smartphones, which does not go even after tweaks in settings, Samsung has announced that a software fix will soon be provided for the issue. The company has introduced the Galaxy S8 and S8+ in India with a price tag of Rs 57,900 and Rs. 64,900 respectively. The users, who have pre-booked the handset will be offered a wireless charging accessory worth Rs. 4,499 absolutely free with the smartphone. The pre-booking are still open and the smartphone will be available on 5th of May 2017.
