Samsung Struggling Against Micromax and Xiaomi

As the people of India are preferring smartphones of Micromax, Xiaomi in majority, Samsung is now struggling to retain the top rank in the Indian mobile market. According to the survey made by Counterpoint Research, Micromax and Xiaomi are the two mobile manufacturing giants that are moving in full motion to get first rank in mobile category.

There is not any surprise about Micromax, as it is the top Indian mobile manufacturing brand which is ranked 10th, globally. Micromax, since the time it was launched, has managed to offer customer satisfactory smartphones at an affordable price. Samsung on the other hand is struggling to sustain the first rank as the overall sales of Samsung mobiles in Q2 2014 was just 17% of all mobile phones sold in that quarter. There will not be any whammy to say that you can buy a smartphone with a price tag of near about Rs 2k-3k with a brand tag of Micromax.

Samsung is still top mobile brand in India, but when it comes to buy a phone, a user goes for Micromax, Karbonn, Lava along with the new Chinese entrant, Xiaomi smartphones that are available with the mantra " High specs at Low cost". Micromax and Xiaomi are the prominent brands being opted against Samsung smart-phones. Xiaomi, with its new product Xiaomi Mi3, has shown the trailers to other mobile manufacturers about its craze among the Indian customers.

To fulfil the slowdown of growth, Samsung had recently launched three smartphones with a price range of nearly Rs 7k. Overall, at present Samsung is facing challenges from Indian (Micromax) as well as Chinese(Xiaomi) challengers.
