Sony India Launched Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus In India

Sony India launched two new Android smartphones dubbed as Xperia R1 Plus and Xperia R1 for the Indian market. Both the latest Sony smartphones are mid-budget smartphones priced at Rs. 14,990 and Rs. 13,990 for Xperia R1 Plus and Xperia R1 respectively. The handsets come with support for fast upload and browsing via uplink data compression (UDC). Sony also promises that the handsets are Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade ready.

Sony Xperia R1 Plus and R1 price In India

Sony Xperia R1 Plus and Xperia R1 will be available across all Sony Center and major mobile stores across the country from November 10. It will also be available on Amazon and Flipkart in India. The Sony Xperia R1 Plus will be available at Rs. 14,990 and Xperia R1 comes at Rs. 12,990. Both the phones will be available in Black and Silver colors. The company has confirmed that the interested buyers can register for these latest smartphones from Friday on Amazon. Sony promises, "Pre-registered customers will be entitled to a special offer."

Sony Xperia R1 Plus and R1 specifications

Both the phones come with almost identical innards with just RAM and internal storage difference. The Sony Xperia R1 Plus packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage while the Xperia R1 packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

The Sony Xperia R1 Plus and R1 have a 5.2-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) TFT displays and has been powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. Both smartphones operate on Android Nougat with promise for the Android Oreo update for these handsets. Both of these Android mobiles have support for the dual-SIM and sport 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, Exmor Sony sensor, and LED flash. There's an 8-megapixel front camera on each handset. They are backed by a 2620mAh and support USB Type-C port. The connectivity options included in both the Sony smartphones are GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G with support for LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi and FM radio.
