Sony Xperia E3: The Budget Smartphone at IFA 2014

It’s like raining in Berlin at IFA event which is continuously falling with numerous new inventions. In this league, Sony has brought several premium devices along with a budget smartphones Xperia E3. Two variants of this handset have blossomed on the stage of IFA- Xperia E3 (Single SIM variant) and Xperia E3 dual (dual SIM variant). No price detail has been provided by Company but expected to launch globally this year in autumn. Bothe variants share identical specs and features except the SIM slot.

Featuring a 4.5-inch IPS display, this device is built to offer 480x854 pixel resolution. Android 4.4 KitKat OS is a great addition by Company in this budget offering. Camera section gets 5-megapixel rear camera which is loaded with several apps and camera features like HDR and Timeshift burst. A VGA camera also houses in Xperia E3. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocks at 1.2GHz to power the handset with fast performance speed.

The 1GB of RAM and Adreno 305 GPU make it a performance packed device with smooth experience. On the storage front, it gets 4GB of built-in storage and comes with microSD card support which can store upto 32GB of data. What’s new in the Xperia E3 is its shake to start app which gives the facility to use any app by simply shaking the hand, holding the smartphone.

Its 2330mAh battery is made for deliver 12 hours 20 minutes of talk time, and up to 706 hours of standby time. Connectivity features of this budget smartphone include 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, A-GPS with Glonass, USB 2.0, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 3.5mm jack. While the 4G LTE support will come for select markets.
