Transsion Holdings has launched the Tecno Camon i4 smartphone in India. The Smartphone apart from a triple rear camera features Android 9.0 Pie, a 6.2-inch HD+ display along with dewdrop notch, a 3,500mAh battery, face unlock, and up to MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. Price
For 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, the cost of the Tecno Camon i4 in India is INR 9,599 while for the 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage variant, the price tag goes up to INR 10,599. The high-end variant i.e. 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage come with price sticker of INR 11,999.
Availability
The smartphone can be grabbed from the retail stores across India. The will come in four color options- Nebula Black, Midnight Black, Champagne Gold and Aqua Blue.

The Tecno Camon i4 flaunts a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, an 88.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a peak brightness of 500-nits. It has a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and carries a dewdrop-shaped display notch. The 2GB and 3GB RAM variants under the hood carries a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC while on the other hand, the 4GB RAM variant gets the power from the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC.

The Tecno Camon i4 runs on Android 9.0 Pie which is based on HIOS 4.6. At the back, there is a fingerprint scanner and the smartphone can also be unlocked by AI-based face unlock feature for security. The dual-SIM handset gets fuel from the 3,500mAh battery along with a 'Rocket' fast charging, and measures 156.9 x 75.8 x 7.96mm.
In terms of the connectivity options, the smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of the sensors, the mobile comes with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor.
The Tecno Camon i4 holds three RAM variants- 2GB, 3GB and 4GB while there are two storage variants options 32GB and 64GB. Both the storage variants can further be expandable up to 256GB through a dedicated microSD card slot.
In terms of the optics, all the three variants of the smartphone carries the same camera setup at the back as well as at the front. At the back, the Tecno Camon i4 flaunts triple camera setup which includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens (120-degree), and a 2-megapixel depth sensing sensor.
The camera setup also includes a quad flash module along with features like HDR, bokeh, AR stickers, beautification, and scene detection. At the front, the smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 2-micron pixels, along with a special low-light photography mode for perfect selfies and video calling.
At this price tag, the Tecno Camon i4 gives a tough competition to the rival Redmi Note 7 in India.
