The Unannounced Smartphone of Xiaomi Leaked, Speculated as Redmi 2

After collecting a lot of accolades by dint of Redmi Note 4G and Redmi Note, the China based mobile maker: Xiaomi has again come in multiple tidings. At this time, tech giant is now rumored to launch a successor of its most plausible smartphone: Redmi 1S. According to the reports of Phonearena, a brand new widget has passed through a Chinese Certification Agency: TENAA and could be announced for China in coming days.

However, name of the upcoming mobile phone is still cryptic, but it has been speculated to be designated as Redmi 2 because it holds resemblance with Redmi 1S at various aspects. Discussing about the specifications that have been mentioned over Informant's website, handset will feature an identical screen-size of 4.7-inch with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution.

The inclusion of 8-megapixel rear camera along with 2-megapixel front shooter has been also claimed by the source. On memory front, handheld will be decked with 1GB RAM alongside 8GB of internal memory, which will be expandable upto 32GB through a microSD card.

Apart from similarities, gadget has been said to be equipped with 4G LTE connectivity and Google's Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, which makes this yet-to-be proclaimed gadget more advanced. It will be packed with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, but there is no word about its chipset.

Notably, mobile has 134 x 67.21 x 9.2 mm dimension and a weighing of 132 grams, whereby it looks more compact than its predecessor that measures 137 x 69 x 9.9 mm and 158 gram weight. Moreover, it is expected to hit the shelves of retail store in various color variants such as black, white, red, orange, yellow, green, purple and blue.
