Vivo Introduced Y25 Smartphone: Price, Specifications, and More

Vivo, the leading Chinese smartphone manufacturer has unveiled a new budget friendly handset Y25 with 4G support in Malaysia at MYR 499 (Rs 7,500 approx). The company has not given any word regarding the international launch of the handset, still, if it gets launched in India, it might be difficult to stand out for it due to its underpowered specifications.

Talking about the with, the Android smartphone features a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display of resolution 480x854 pixels and runs Android 5.1 lollipop based Funtouch OS 2.1. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MTK6580 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It also packs 16GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

In term of optics, the Dual-SIM handset packs a 5-megapixel of a rear camera along with a LED flash. A 2-megapixel front shooter is also provided by the company for shooting selfies. It is backed up by a 1900mAh battery and includes 4G connectivity, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS as connectivity options on board. Sensors on the GSM handset include a proximity sensor, accelerometer, and ambient light sensor.

Vivo also introduced its Y55s smartphone last month in India at Rs 12,490. The Y55s GSM handset features a 5.2-inch HD IPS display of resolution 720x1280 pixels along with a 2.5D curved edge screen and runs company’s Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. Backed up by a 2730 mAh battery, it also packs 16GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded further up to 256GB via microSD card. In term of optics, the device includes a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
