Vivo, the Chinese smartphone maker company, has launched a new V5 Plus IPL edition in Matte Black color variant. The specifications of this Vivo V5 Plus limited edition smartphone will be same as the original V5 Plus, except it will come with 'VIVOIPL' logo engraved on the rear panel. The handset will be made available via Flipkart, modern trade outlets, and Vivo exclusive stores from 10th April and the pricing will also be disclosed on that day only. It must be noted that until now only the Gold color variant of the Vivo V5 Plus was available. We must be knowing that the Vivo V5 Plus smartphone was launched in India in January, with a price tag of Rs. 27,980. And in February, the handset was made available to buy from both online and offline modes.
At the launch occasion, Vivek Zhang, CMO, Vivo India, said, "We are very proud to be introducing the beautiful VIVOIPL limited edition V5 Plus phones on the 10th anniversary of the IPL. The idea behind the launch of limited edition phone was to offer our consumers with not just the phone but an experience they can cherish for a lifetime".

To recall, the dual-SIM selfie-focused Vivo V5 Plus mobile operates on the company's Funtouch OS 3.0, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The biggest highlight of the handset is its dual front camera setup of 20MP and 8MP. The 20-megapixel camera comes with the Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor, a f/2.0 aperture, and a 5P lens system, while the 8-megapixel camera is to capture depth-of-field information. Whereas, on the rear, the handset has the 16MP camera sensor with LED flash.
The smartphone also has a fingerprint scanner on the home button and comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display. The device has been powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC along with 4GB of RAM. The handset has 64GB of non-expandable inbuilt storage. Apart from the 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS connectivity options are also included. The V5 Plus smartphone has been powered by a 3055mAh battery. This Vivo mobile in India has a measurement of 152.8x74.00x7.26 mm and weighs 158.6 grams.
