Vivo Y55L With Split Screen Feature And Eye Protection Mode Launched in India

Vivo has now come up with a new 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone dubbed as Y55L in the country. The handset is an upgraded model of Y51L which was launched in January this year. It comes with some exciting features such as a split-screen feature for multitasking along with an eye protection mode, which helps in reducing blue light for a comfortable vision. The Android smartphone will be available in Gold and Space Grey color variants in India priced at Rs 11,980.

As per further specifications, the GSM-handset features a 5.2-inch HD display of resolution 720X1280 pixels along with a meta unibody structure and a 2.5D curved-edge screen. The device runs Android v6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB RAM.

Kent Cheng, newly appointed CEO Vivo India, while commenting on the launch said, “India is a very important market for us because of the maximum smartphone penetration. We want to cater to every price point with our innovative products. And, through Y55L we want to tap the users that are looking for a smartphone that not just looks great but also delivers the desired results with its overall package.”

Talking about the optical part, the Dual-SIM smartphone is blessed with an 8-megapixel rear camera with a 5-megapixel front shooter. It packs 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. Connectivity options on the board include 4G and VoLTE support, 3.5mm jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Micro-USB with USB OTG. Backed up by a 2650mAh battery, the smartphone measures 147.9X72.9X7.5mm and weighs 142 grams. Sensor part of the handset includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and a virtual gyroscope.
