Vivo, the leading Chinese smartphone manufacturer has announced to introduce a new smartphone in its V5 lineup in India. After launching Vivo V5 and Vivo V5 Plus smartphones, the company is now planning to unveil its all new Vivo V5s smartphone in the country on April 27. As per the rolled out invitations are concerned, the handset is being launched as a selfie focused smartphones just like its previously launched siblings.
Reportedly, the new Android smartphone is blessed with a lot of same design elements and specifications as Vivo V5. Concerning the specifications, the Vivo V5s is blessed with a metallic unibody design along with a 5.5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass on top. It is believed to be powered by the same MT6750 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM as Vivo V5.
The company is advertising the handset with the hashtag #PerfectSelfie, which is specifically highlighting its ravishing front camera. The Dual-SIM smartphone features a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, similar to the Vivo V5. It also packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and f/2.2 aperture.
The GSM smartphone is backed up by a 3,000mAh battery and packs 64GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. Connectivity options on the board include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm port, and a Micro-USB 2.0 port. The handset is expected to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on company’s FunTouch OS 2.6 and could be available with a price tag of Rs 18,990. The handset is expected to be available in Space Grey, Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black colour variants.
Apart from that, Vivo also introduced a special Vivo V5 Plus IPL Limited Edition smartphone in Matte Black colour. Specifications of the special variant remain the same as the Vivo V5 Plus, there’s just an added IPL engraving on the back panel.
