It is confirmed that Vivo is working on the Apex Concept 2019 which is expected to take showcase on January 24 at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona. In the meantime, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has silently launched the new smartphone, titled as Vivo Y89. It has been listed on the official China website and available for purchase at Aliexpress which is an e-commerce based platform in China. It must be noted that Vivo Y89 is specifically launched in the China market.
The new Vivo Y89 has been listed on Aliexpress at a price tag of $266 which approximately converts into Rs 19,000. It is available for purchase in black, and blue/purple gradient color options. As per the listings of Aliexpress, the bookings of the device have commenced while the deliveries will start within two days. As of now, there is no information whether the Vivo would launch the Y89 in other markets like India or not.
The Vivo Y89 boasts a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display that offers 2280×1080 pixels resolution and 400ppi pixels density. Inside there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chipset which clocked at 2.2GHz along with Adreno 506 GPU. For storing content, Vivo has offered 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage on the newly launched Y89. The device will be shipped with Android 8.1 Oreo OS layered with FunTouch OS 4.0.

For the photography purpose, the Vivo 89 comes with dual cameras on the rear panel that consists of a 16 MP primary sensor featuring an aperture of f/2.0 and a 2 MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calling, the device gets a 16MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The camera app is preloaded with AI-backed beauty mode and softlight flash which lets users capture impressive photos. The battery back up of the device is 3,260mAh. For the safety purpose, the device has been equipped with a physical fingerprint scanner and face unlock feature which allows users to unlock the device in just a few seconds.
The Vivo Y89 comes with a wide range of connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, and GLONASS.
