We know that most of the smartphones of the Xiaomi are based on Android MIUI and beside that there are smartphones that do not use this UI so that the company can give the customers a stock of Android experience. In September 2017, the company launched the Mi A1 which used clean Android experience and got the best reviews for it. After this, the company launched other smartphones with the same Android experience like Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite in 2018. And now it looks like as the company is all set to launch the third-gen Mi A-series smartphones.
As per the reports, Xiaomi is working on 2 Android One smartphone which carries the codenames- ‘bamboo_sprout’ and ‘cosmos_sprout’. As seen before, all the Android One devices carry a suffix of ‘sprout’ in the codename by which we can say that these two forthcoming smartphones might be Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite.
As mentioned above, the forthcoming Xiaomi Mi A3 and Mi A3 LIte comes under the Android One lineup and will undoubtedly run on stock Android Pie 9 out of the box. These smartphones will also be updated to the Android Q version. Apart from the stock Android, the reports also indicate two other key features of the third-gen Mi A-series devices.
As per the reports, the forthcoming smartphones are being tested with the in-display fingerprint. Vivo brought the under-display fingerprint scanner in the mid-range segment so we can expect from Xiaomi also to follow the same path as of Vivo. The report also points out towards the 32MP front camera for selfies. The front camera is expected to house in the dewdrop notch to give the smartphone bezel-less display.
Other than this information, no other data is given by the company. But reports suggest that the launch might take place in the last of May or in the starting of June. There is no information about the price tag the smartphones will carry but is expected to launch with the price tag around Rs 15,000 in India.
