Xiaomi Introduced Matte Black Colored Mi Max 2

Xiaomi, the renowned Chinese smartphone manufacturer, launched the successor of its Mi Max phablet dubbed as Mi Max 2 last month. The company initially unveiled the smartphone only in a Gold colour variant, but now has also introduced a ravishing Matte Black colour variant of the new smartphone. The new variant has been introduced only for Hong Kong and will be available with same price and specifications as its Gold colour variant.

In term of specifications, the Android smartphone is blessed with a massive 6.44-inch full-HD with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and runs MIUI 8 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2GHz coupled with 4GB RAM. The smartphone comes in two memory variants including a 64GB and a 128GB inbuilt memory variant, still, the Matte Black coloured variant will only be available in a 64GB inbuilt memory variant.

The optical part of the Dual-SIM smartphone includes a 12-megapixel rear Sony IMX386 sensor with 1.25-micron pixels for better handling of different lighting situations, PDAF support and dual-LED flash. A 5-megapixel front shooter is also provided by the company for selfie enthusiasts.

The GSM handset is backed up by a gigantic 5300mAh battery along with Quick Charge 3.0 support for fast charging and includes 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth as connectivity options on board. Additional features of the handset include a fingerprint sensor at the rear side and an IR blaster, by which the handset can work as a universal remote for TV and air conditioner.

The Xiaomi Mi Max will be available with a price tag of HKD 1,899 (Rs 15,685 approx) and will feature improved one-handed use. However the company has still not made any official announcement of the India launching of the smartphone, but, the Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain suggested that the company might launch Mi Max 2 in July in India.
