Xiaomi Invite and Puzzle for Redmi 2 Launch Event on March 12

Chinese tech juggernaut seems all prepared to launch its Redmi 2 smartphone in India. Invites for its launch event has been sent out to media persons. Before sending the invite, company conducted a contest on its official Facebook page. A word puzzle had been posted to solve which clearly indicated the launch event on March 12.

It is reported that the tech giant will announce its two devices on March 12. Hugo Barra and Manu Kumar Jain will be hosting the event. It is expected that the Redmi 2 and Mi Pad 7.9-inch Android tablet may show their elegance for Indian market. The word puzzle gave enough indication hiding the names Snapdragon, wideangle, dualsim, expandable, microSD and quickcharge inside the numbers of words.

Media invite only indicates about an event and the hosts. No other detail regarding device and date are mentioned on it. But, the words ‘Next Level’ hints about the Redmi 2. We can speculate the name of such smartphone because the Redmi 1S had been discontinued in India. So, it could be possible that company will bring the Redmi 2 to fill the wounds.

On the other side, some speculations are saying for the launch of a tablet. Mi Pad is expected to make its debut in country. Few words from the puzzle, including Kepler, Tegra and Nvidia are suggesting about the Mi Pad. This is the only device of company which comes paired with Nvidia's silicon. It was speculated earlier that company will bring this tablet in Indian in first quarter of 2015. It is powered by Nvidia Tegra K1 processor. Other specifications include 7.9-inch QXGA IPS Retina display, 192-core Kepler GPU, 6700mAh battery, Android 4.4 OS, 16 or 64GB built-in storage, and a microSD card slot.
