Xiaomi Mi 5c Tipped to be Launch in February 2017

Xiaomi is expected to unveil its upcoming handset the Mi 5c in February 2017. The handset has been spotted on the website of China’s Quality Certification (3C) centre, which also leaked some key features of the upcoming smartphone, giving hopes of a soon launch.

A Chinese media firm GizmoChina reported that the company is expected to unveil 5 new smartphones soon, as a total number of 5 different models of Xiaomi went through certification in the website. One of the upcoming models, with model number MAE136 is expected to be Xiaomi Mi 5c (aka Xiaomi Meri), rest of the models are 2105212, 2016089, 2016101, and MBE6A5.

The upcoming MAE136 of the company, which is also be touted as Mi 5c is supposed to come with a 5V/2A power adapter, which clearly points that it will lack fast charging capability. It is also expected to feature a 5.5-inch full-HD display along with 2.5D curved glass protection and really narrow bezels. Moreover, it will be powered by Xiaomi’s in-house Pinecone processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.

In terms of optics, the upcoming Android handset is expected to pack a 12-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. Inbuilt memory of the device may provide 64GB of free space and it is also likely to run on Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8.

The company was expected to introduce this smartphone back in December 2016, but due to some causes that didn’t happen, so, we can not have high hopes this time too. But leaked images with specifications are already spreaded out in the market, so we can assume that the company will take any step soon regarding the launch.
