Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has shared the images of the Xiaomi Mi 9 with fake transparent back by which we can assume what the internal holds for us. Even the Xiaomi Mi 8 was launched with a transparent back and that variant was dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition. A few days ago, Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition was also leaked and as per the renders, the smartphone will carry a quad camera setup but the photo of the smartphone shared by the CEO has triple camera setup. By this, we can say that the freshly shared images of the smartphone might be a Transparent Edition of the Mi 9 and might not be the Mi 9 Explorer Edition.
The CEO shared the images of the Mi 9 Transparent Edition on a leading website which gives details about the back panel of the smartphone. For sharing the image of the Mi 8 Explorer Edition, the company used another method where it saw the confusion of the circuit board outside the transparent case, but it was actually a fake 3D sketch of the circuit board at the top of the back panel. While in Mi 9, the company has created a design on 0.3 mm aluminium sheet, and it is designed to get accurate details of all minutes using CNC machine and a small cutter and to make 3D effect. Jun also said that the aluminium sheet helps in loss of heat.
Jun also stated that the Mi 9 Transparent Edition will feature 7-piece lens along with 48-megapixel primary camera with f/1.47 aperture and 12 GB of RAM. In his statements, Jun did not called the transparent variant as the Mi 9 Explorer Edition by which it can be speculated that it might be just a transparent rear panel option for Vanilla Mi 9. As per the reports, the Mi 9 Explorer Edition might be a different smartphone with quad rear camera setup with the same rear panel.
Earlier, an official video was leaked in which the Transparent Edition of Mi 9 was shown. In the video, it was seen that the smartphone had a transparent rear panel, a triple camera set up at the back and Alita Battle Angel branding.
Earlier, the Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition was leaked many times which carried a quad-camera setup at the back. The Explorer Edition is speculated to come with a price sticker of CNY 5,999 (approx Rs 63,500). All the confusion that the company created will be cleared today at the launch event of Xiaomi.
