Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Launched in India; Price Starts at Rs 9,999

Xiaomi India on this Thursday unveiled its Redmi Note 4 in the country, which is also touted as the first big launch in India this year. The new handset has been introduced in three variants and will be available exclusively on Flipkart and company’s official Mi.com. The latest offerings by the company will be made available from Monday 12 pm via both of the above-listed e-commerce websites. Mi Note 4 will be available in Gold, Grey, and Silver colour variants, apart from it, a Matte Black colour variant is also on its way to India.

As we have mentioned above, the Android smartphone will be available in three variants across the country, which includes, a 2GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage model priced at Rs 9.999; a 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage model priced at Rs 10,999 and a 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage model priced at Rs 12,999. All of the three models will go on sale by Monday, and there are no pre-registrations required for the new smartphones.

The Dual-SIM Redmi Note 4 is blessed with a metallic unibody design language along with a fingerprint sensor mounted at the rear side of it. The Chinese manufacturer has not brought the MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core SoC-based SKU to the country as expected. So now, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 octa-core SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The handset is also a part of the company’s ‘Make in India’ program and the 14nm FinFET architecture of its SoC also delivers various benefits of increased battery life.

Moreover, the GSM smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD 2.5D curved glass IPS display of resolution 1080X1920 pixels and 401ppi of pixel density. It is powered by the same above mentioned Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU and runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

In term of optics, the Redmi Note 4 packs a 13-megapixel CMOS rear sensor along with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), a f/2.0 aperture, 77-degree wide angle lens, and dual-tone LED flash. In front, a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor is also provided by the company paired with an 85-degree wide angle lens. It is also blessed with a hybrid dual-SIM card facility, which can be used to expand the memory up to 128GB via micro-SD card.

Connectivity options on the board include 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/b/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, Micro-USB, and Infrared. It is backed up by a massive 4100mAh battery and packs accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, and proximity sensor as sensor part of the new handset.
