Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Specifications and Design Leaked

Xiaomi, Chinese Mobile Manufacturer has been continuously working on the successor of Redmi Note 4, it is anticipated that it will be launched with the title, Redmi Note 5. The Chinese website Oppomart has spotted the Redmi Note 5 along with specifications. Manu Kumar Jain, VP and Managing Director of Xiaomi India has tweeted the launching of a new product on the Xiaomi line of products.

Redmi Note 5 Features

According to the Oppomart listings, the declared Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will sport a 5.99 inch, full HD display along with 1080×2160 pixels resolution. According to the previous leaks, it is expected that it will feature an 18:9 aspect ratio. The new smartphone runs on Android 7.1 OS Nougat out-of-the-box, based on MIUI 9. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. According to the leaks, it is anticipated that it will come in two variants: 3GB RAM coupled with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB internal storage.

In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, will sport a 12- Megapixel rear camera and 5 Mega-pixel for the front-facing camera, for capturing selfies and video calls. The Redmi Note 5 is said to pack a 4,000mAh battery and supports dual-SIM.

According to the Oppomart listings, it is anticipated that the Xiaomi Note 5 will be launched in coming weeks. The Oppomart listing was firstly spotted by TheLeaker and after then a placeholder spotted the Redmi Note 5 on retailer website JD.com but without an image of the new smartphone.

Additionally, Manu Kumar Jain tweeted on the Twitter “i" is coming soon teasing a launch of the new product. So far it is not clear what the letter 'i' is denoting but we can get more clarifications in the coming weeks. According to the Oppomart listings, it is clarified that the company will be targeting only the Indian market for the new smartphone.
