Xiaomi unveiled Redmi Note 3 starting at Rs. 9,500

Xiaomi has finally thought of launching its much speculated device as Redmi Note 3. The device has been launched this Tuesday with several of the specifications mentioned. As promised, it has taken place first at China National Convention Center in Beijing.

The company has announced that it will be available in two specified variants as: 2GB RAM and 16GB in-built storage that is priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 9,500) and another with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage priced at CNY 1,099 (approximately Rs. 11,500). No words have been uttered on the official date of launch.

The smartphone unfolds a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Sunlight Display. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor (Cortex-A53) coupled with 2GB/ 3GB of RAM. The display so far depicted carries the tag of "fully-laminated display". It has a metal clad body or full metal body. It is teased to measure 8.65mm at its thickest point and weighs 164 grams. On the software front, it runs MIUI 7 based on Android OS.

The company at the event highlighted that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features an all-metal industrial design and stressed that it is now the "first Mi phone" to sport a full metal body and fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint scanner is placed at the rear panel which unlocks the phone within 0.3 seconds of time. It has the snapper’s edge integrated with 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) and two-tone flash and a 5-megapixel front-camera.

The in-built storage as mentioned uncovers two variants as 16GB and 32GB. It packs 4000mAh battery which is the highlight of the phone. It is rated to deliver longer talk time hours. It is housed with fast charging support that can charge up to 50 percent in 1 hour. The smartphone will come in Gold, Silver, and Dark Grey color variants.
