Xiaomi unveiled to launch Mi Edge with Dual Edge Display

Chinese phone maker, Xiaomi unveiled its newly launched smartphone under the flagship of Mi series, namely Mi Edge. It has been long humored to take on Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge with a dual edged display smartphone. While the earlier rumors claimed that it would be called Mi Arch, but now the fresh leak claims that it will be called Mi Edge.

As per the reports, the handset features a 5.2-inch dual-edge display with Sharp QHD at a pixel density of (2560×1440 pixel) resolution. And it would be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor, will be available in two variants i.e. with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

The handset might support a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and even enable fingerprint scanner.

According to the leaks, the smartphone would be launched at a price tag of $391 (approx Rs 25,950) in October, this year. This is the second smart-phone, which would have dual edge in India after the Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge, which is comparatively given a higher price as compared to Mi Edge.

Another Xiaomi smartphone is dubbed as Xiaomi MI 4c. It is rumored to feature a hexa-core (1.4GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core + 1.8GHz Cortex-A57 dual-core) Snapdragon 808 processor paired with 2GB RAM.

It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7 operating system, offering a 5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels resolution) display, 16GB internal memory, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front facing camera and packs with a 3100mAh battery. The device will support 4G LTE connectivity and will also be equipped with an accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.
