As expected, Micromax, the domestic smartphone manufacturer has launched the new smartphone, with the name tag Yu Ace on 30th August in India. The key highlights of Yu Ace include 18:9 aspect ratio, a massive 4,000mAh battery and stock Android 8.1 Oreo with Steroid launcher.
Yu Ace is the first smartphone of this year under the Yu brand that has been launched by the Micromax. To recall, Yu Yureka 2 was launched in September 2017. The company is touted that the Yu Ace is compatible with Android Pie and will soon receive the software update in the coming months.
The Micromax Yu Ace is retailing at Rs. 5,999 for single 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. As per the previous, it is confirmed that Yu Ace will be available for purchase exclusively at Flipkart in the form of flash sale which is to be scheduled on 6th September 2018.
The next flash sale of Yu Ace will be conducted on 13th September.
The buyers can choose from Charcoal Grey, Elektric Blue, and Rose Gold color variants of Yu Ace. It is speculated that the company would also launch the 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant of Yu Ace most probably at the end of September.
The Yu Ace comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display which offers the screen resolution of 720x1440 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It runs on top of the line stock Android 8.1 Oreo layered with the company's owned Steroid Launcher.
Under the hood, there is a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.
The Yu Ace gets a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera. For the security purpose, the smartphone has a Face Unlock feature and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. As expected, it is bundled with a massive 4,000mAh battery.
While unveiling the Yu Ace, Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer of Micromax Informatics stated. “We are extremely excited to launch a phone that we strongly believe is a game changer in the Sub 6K category,.”
