Dell has now updated its XPS 13, Inspiron 5000 2-in-1, and 7000 2-in-1 series laptops with Intel latest 8th-generation Kaby Lake chips. The Dell XPS 13, which still features the impressive design and the new Intel Core i7 chip, will be made available from 12th September at $1,399.99 (approximately Rs. 89,600) and the company has also announced that the additional configuration will be made available from October.
In addition to XPS 13 update, Dell is also bringing eighth generation Intel Core processors to several laptops in its lower-end Inspiron line, which includes 13-inch and 15-inch variants of the Inspiron 5000 2-in-1. In the Inspiron 7000, 2-in-1 will be getting the updated processors and the 17-inch variant of the Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 will get Eighth generation chips.
Separately, Dell has released its visor mixed-reality headset to beautiful new laptops, which has been made specifically for Microsoft Windows Mixed Reality platform and will be made available from October at a price tag of approximately Rs. 22,400($349.99). Buyers can also select to buy a bundle with the handset and two controllers for approximately Rs.28,800($449.99). The company has described Visor as the mixed-reality headset that will include some of the best designs with incredible visual experiences and exceptional performance. The company has also described Visor as a mixed-reality headset, that comes with the VR capabilities, as revealed in a separate report. Microsoft has started taking pre-orders for the mixed-reality headsets from HP and Acer in this year.
"Dell Visor takes advantage of the same technology used in the Microsoft HoloLens, including inside-out tracking cameras, with a 360-degree panoramic view. The headset itself is able to scan surroundings instead of satellite emitters positioned inside the room," the company said in its official statement.
