To stand in the competition with Google Glass, Sony has showcased its own smart glasses. The battle will soon be begun whenever the Sony has been appeared in the field of smart glasses against of Google Glass.
The Japanese gargantuan had showcased Smart Eyeglass Concept at MWC in Barcelona earlier. Now the prototype of this wearable gadget is ready but still it is able to connect with an array of smartphones, run on Android 4.1 and above. See the information in the wearer view, seems like the second screen of your smartphone is moving just close to your eyes.
A 3MP camera is housed on the left hand lens with accelerometer, gyroscope and compass which will work in a manner to sense the motion of user’s head. It looks like Google Glass but little bit bulky than Google’s. It also has a large battery pack to make it in work for a long time. It has 3D glasses which has 3mm thick lenses designed to deliver hologram like visuals on the screen.
This SmartEyeglass will support several apps. So, Company is planning to launch its own software kit for developing compatible apps which give more power to its Smartglasses. It is expected that the prototype will reach in market to sale in March 2015.
