Idea Cellular Reduces Mobile Data Rates All Across The Country

The Idea Cellular said on Friday that it has cut Mobile Internet rates to offer more esteem to users on their 4G, 3G, and 2G Data packs. The new data packs are accessible over all circles beginning Friday.

"We want to ensure that benefits of Internet are reaped conveniently by every individual, through our innovative, customized and affordable products. This will enable the Internet revolution and its impact to be felt in every part of the country," said a company statement, citing Chief Marketing Officer Sashi Shankar. "Now Idea users can get up to 45 percent more data benefits on sachet packs below 1GB. Idea offers a wide range of 4G, 3G and 2G sachet data packs priced between Rs. 8 and Rs. 225," the statement said.

The announcement included that the 2G Data pack estimated at Rs. 19 which beforehand offering 75MB Internet Data for 3 days, will now offer 110MB data for 3 days - a 45 percent expansion in Data pack. Likewise, a 4G/3G data pack for Rs. 22 which offers 65MB data for 3 days, will now give 90MB 3G data for 3 days, which is a 38 percent more than the previous plan.
