Both Android and iOS devices’ users can take the benefit of this service.
Google India has informed India people that they can make calls to their contact list across the world and that will cost nothing for you. The search engine giant confirms, "The Hangouts app on your phone will help you stay connected with your family and friends around the world in more ways than ever. Now you can make voice calls to phone numbers outside of India."
Any Hangout user can make call to other hangout user and it will grab nothing from your credit balance. Few data charges will apply for making such Internet calls. However, free International calls are available in select countries now- US and Canada. Calling to few more countries like Germany, Australia, Italy and Japan will also be free, but will add few credits to your account. You can check the country specific voice-calling rates before making calls.
The app will notify about the first minute free call by showing a message on your smartphone screen. If you go on the call for several minutes, then you will have to pay a huge amount as per calling rates (VAT included). Use such functionality, Android phone users will need to install Hangouts Dialer app while the iOS devices already have this feature in hangouts App. US is already taking benefit of this feature and now India has also entered in the same.
