Micromax's Yu introduces YUPIX to Print Snaps Directly

The Indian electronics brand YU Televentures, Yu, owned by Micromax and renowned as the name of its subsidiary, is emerging day by day with the new devices being placed on the table. The famed company is caught again with the reminding technology needed, to print out the snaps shooted from the shooters edge in smartphones. The company has unveiled the portable photo printer, YUPIX, sizing a camera or a smartphone to print out the immediate images captured.

The company has claimed that the device can print 2.1*3.4 inch sized digital photos with a resolution of 291 dpi in just 60 seconds. The minute count is less so the user can have a faster access to the physical portrait rather than having an image within the walls. Being the smaller size printer, it weighs 273 grams with a size adjustable within the pocket.

The main feature includes Wi-Fi or an NFC enabled connection that helps in sharing the photos to the device from your smartphone. The photos can be edited via YUPIX app, that is compatible with Android as well as iPhones. The device can print the lower resolution photos, with a pixel resolution of 1280*1920 (2.5MP). It uses dye sublimation for printing images, that includes an Ink Ribbon with Photo Paper Integrated into it apart. Its unique cartridge doesn’t require a cleaning roll, and also it is water and finger print proof.

After Polaroid launched its ink-less approach at IFA, it is needed to print crystal clear images by using a thermally sensitive paper with ink crystals to portray the potential of the personalized digital moments.
