Microsoft Testing Dialer Android App Specially for Indian Users

Microsoft’s developer team of Skype has developed a new Android app, that allows you to make voice calls even with the slow internet connection. The app being called Microsoft Dialer, is specially designed exclusively for the Indian market.

The information revealed from the trusted source that the Microsoft Dialer app may be released on the Google Play Store by the second week of December 2015. Microsoft India recently announced its plans to start the closed beta testing of Skype of Indian specific version. It will not just be available for Android, the company is gearing up for the launch of a windows 10 Dialer version.

By introducing the dialer, Microsoft attempt to gain the market attention, that are bogged down by connectivity issues like slow and unreliable Internet access. However, it is unclear whether the Dialer will also offer video calling capability, but one of the sources said that it will support video sharing in some format. The app works on the 3G as well as on slower networks 2G.

At the time of the conference, one of the spokesperson of Microsoft revealed that, "As part of the ongoing improvements to deliver the best experience possible to our users, we are always innovating and occasionally test out new features and functionality on small groups of users in different markets. The voice calling facility is the most important and favorite feature among the Indian users. Whatsapp also included a voice calling feature this year and has proved to be quite popular in the country. Hike messenger is also an alternative to the Whatsapp. Recently, it added group voice calling facility that allows up to 100 people in a group to talk each other simultaneously. This Microsoft’s Dialer app is manifestly company’s way of getting back into the field.
