Microsoft's Climatology: A Weather app for Android and Windows

Microsoft's another pioneering step towards climate geeks. Apart from providing regular updates to the most popular Skype and Nokia Camera, the company is concentrating on Windows Phone also. Few days back, the company had launched a wireless charging trouser and during the FIFA World Cup, 2014, another research has come out of the cave of Microsoft, i.e. Cortana, an Artificially Intelligent Character as a FIFA World Cup 2014 Prediction Experiment. Well, the company has known for bringing up something innovative for the entire World, and this time Microsoft has come up with its new phone application for Android and Windows Phone, the Climatology; a weather friendly app.

The company intended to aim the travelers, who are roaming around either all across the World or from one country to another. Instead of providing you the current temperature of your city and predicting weather forecasting, unlike other apps, Climatology intends to inform you about the climate conditions all across the World. It will give you the climatic information of various places and it could be during any time period of the year. The Climatic information includes temperature, rain and sunniness of the place which you are looking for.

The description of Climatology on Google App Store by Microsoft says, "Climatology gives you climate information for anywhere on Earth: temperature, rain and sunniness. Whether finding where are the warm, dry places to go on holiday in December, or avoiding rain for your wedding, to finding out what the climate is like in Kazakhstan in April, Climatology allows you to discover the information you want."

As mentioned earlier, the Climatology app will work for both Android and Windows phone. The users of Android and Windows can download the Climatology app from their respective App store. For Android users, they would require OS version of 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) or later and the app weighs 2.2MB and for Windows users, it occupies 2MB of space.
