As we know that the market of e-commerce is at its boom, the companies are trying their best to retain in the market anyhow. With this concept, Amazon, the renowned e-commerce company is planning to make a start-up in food items. According to the information given by Wall Street Journal, Amazon is fully prepared to launch products like milk, cereal, and baby food with its brand name. The same source has also disclosed the information that the company has already filed for trademark in the early days of May for more than 2 dozen grocery products.

The report also says that till now Amazon has approached few food marketers including TreeHouse Foods, a major player in the respective field. There is not any doubt that grocery products sales is the ever-profitable market to work into. In this category, there is a large margin profit instead of lower product prices. With Amazon's entry in food products, it will allow them to retain the quality, price, size, packaging of the products. This will in return build strong customers loyalty towards the brand.

Till now, none of the Amazon spokesperson has commented anything about this plan. The only information that is available from their end is that they will keep the new products under Elements brand which was launched in December, last year, with two products, diapers and baby wipes. Elements products are only available to Amazon Prime members, who pay a $99 annual membership fee.
