What will you feel when your smartphone get unlocked via a digital tattoo? It sounds weird but the thing will be worked to unlock your smartphone without typing any password or drawing any pattern. Motorola is working on this concept and making its all effort to make its device digitally secured. The company has announced on Tuesday that it will bring a digital tattoo method of identification for its Moto X (Price and Specifications) handset.
The tattoo will be made up of super thin material which will work in order to unlock your smartphone. It is made by VivaLnk Inc. and Google's Advanced Technology and Projects group. At the price of $9.99 is round shaped and nickel-size sticker which will stick on mobile users’ skin with the help of adhesive material. It lasts for 5 days.
To unlock the device, users need to tap the back panel of Moto X with tattoo. But, it works when device supports NFC connectivity. With the help of digital tattoo and NFC technology user will be able to unlock their smartphone device faster as compared to the conventional pattern or password unlock method.
Digital tattoos are available on VivaLnk’s official website to purchase. We also expect that this new method of phone unlocking will soon come for other high-end devices. This technology was first announced last year in month of May and now come in existence for use.
Motorola has posted on its official blog, "It's another step in making it easier to unlock your phone on the go and keep your personal information safe. An average user takes 2.3 seconds to unlock their phone and does this about 39 times a day-a process that some people find so inconvenient that they do not lock their phones at all."
