SAGMart Reviews on Mahindra Gusto 125 VX
What's good:
Mahindra Gusto has come up with this aggressive model called Gusto 125, as the company has made a mark by giving a decent after sales service, and quality products. The Gusto 125 is a bigger sibling of Gusto 110 which appeared in the past. The scooter shares the same zippiness and rides quality with the younger generation.
Some of the pros are:
- Iconic Design
- Feature and Power Loaded
- Good Ride Quality and Handling
- Digital instrument panel
Cons are:
- Average under Seat Storage
- Old Fashioned Instrument Cluster
Power and performance:
The engine is a 124.6cc churning out an 8.5 bhp and the relative torque is higher at 10 Nm coming at 5500 RPM. While the ignition system , gearbox, the heavy-duty clutch has been added, larger carburetor, a silent chain, along with low friction piston rings have caused a great reason for smoother and increase fuel efficiency on the scooter. The engine is smooth and refined but a little noise grasp while holding the speed for long. The scooter gives a much more torque even falling within the 125cc segment and the drive feature is decent in the city and also on highways with short distances. It can pull more load and can do its job pretty well in various conditions.
Handling and Riding:
The ride is much more sophisticated and this makes the seating position upright and heading. The seat has been provided with good quality leather material with a wide area to seat and comfort while riding. The seat is adjustable which can be lowered or raised by 400mm. The handle is fitted in the viewpoint of the same adjustable seat. Everything can be said perfectly on a scooter in this segment.
Safety:
The suspensions are done with good work with betterment in dampening which is reasonable to the new rider, while the stability is above the mark with top class riding quality. The high kerb weight seems judgment to the body ratio and design of the scooter with 12 Inch wheels making a stable controller for the scooter, the tires with their premium built has also assisted the same. The scooter performed very sharp and has been agile in twisting corners as well. The overall grip and safety were assured by the scooter by the high-performance tools implemented.
Maintenance:
Mahindra has been well known to offer machines within the price bracket of consumers while also taking care of the maintenance part by providing easy mechanism into servicing and delivering low-cost manufacturing equipment to support long durability of its vehicles. The company also holds a vast network of service chains which are ready to clear out any issue created in the scooter. Overall Mahindra scooters can be maintained with light pocket expense with quality riding.
Verdict:
The scooter certainly has racy looks and pacy power according to the slogans hit by Mahindra which also fills the expectations to a big extent. The scooter does have some good power and torque to provide in the segment, but it is also not that level high as the kerb weight and long wheelbase drives it back. The Gusto is a good offering when it comes to practicality which assures a decent ride and balance on the whole. One can surely go for it, as it can also be said as a premium scooter with up to the mark features.
