The popular Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm aka Mini Dakar rally, is set to commence 4th April 2016. It will be flagged off from New Delhi. The rally is said to be composed of terrific terrains made up of sand dunes and rocks. It is stretched to the Thar desert of Rajasthan. The main objective of this rally is to offer an amazing off-roading experience to the auto enthusiasts.
The report says that Maruti Suzuki's Desert Storm will be organized in four categories - XTreme, NDure, Xplore & Moto. The rally is likely to witness around 200 participants who will take up the challenge to accomplish the set categories. The six-day extreme event will be covered via 2000 kms starting from New Delhi and thereby moving towards Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Jaisalmer. The event will be concluded in Jodhpur on April 10, 2016.
In order to bring more fun into the event, Maruti Suzuki will also introduce the Xplore category of the Desert Storm. The participant can opt for a short duration part-participation like for 3 days.
