2015 Dakar Rally: CS Santosh Stands on 36th After 11 Stages

From today onwards, CS Santosh would be elaborating the 2015 Dakar Rally as an injured left shoulder and nose, a hairline fractured right toe and going through various climatic situations. Chunchunguppe Shivshankar Santosh is the first Indian who has registered himself for the world's most adventurous off-roading event, i.e. Dakar Rally. The Dakar Rally is a combination racing, which includes off-roading, crossing dunes, camel grass, rocks, mud and various other sections. The participants have to ride through desert, mud, salt flats and various types of rocky roads.

Mr. CS Santosh, being the first Indian, has crowned himself with the 36th position after clearing the 10th stage of Dakar Rally. In spite of having various injuries such as a hairline fractured toe of right foot, wounded left shoulder and nose and climatic situations, which keeps on changing each passing day, CS Santosh has successfully completed the most venturesome rally. The 31-year old Bangalorean has marked an unbelievable milestone in the history of Dakar Rally. And, at the end of the final stage in the Dakar Rally, Sabtosh stands on 36th position, which is really remarkable.

CS Santosh in Dakar Rally

The Dakar Rally is counted among the toughest cross-country off-roader rally, which flags off from Argentina following Chile and ended up in Bolivia. The participants have to ride across 9,295 kms long event, crossing various climates, roads, deserts, salt flats and various other tough sections. The center of attraction is that out of 168 riders, only 79 riders were capable enough to reach the final stage and crossed the last flag.

CS Santosh is riding a KTM 450 Rally Replica under the Team Kini Red Bull. The incredible achievement of Santosh is to cover 101 kms of long distance in a very short duration of 33 minutes in the final stage of 2015 Dakar Rally.
