Next generation Ford Endeavour has been launched in India at the starting price of INR 24.75 Lacs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). A total of 7 variants have been offered in the lineup with the top end trim costing INR 29.46 Lacs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Introduced in 2003, the SUV has been transformed totally right from its appearance to the fitments. Unlike the earlier version, which looked like a pick-up truck, the new Endeavour has been rolled out with a well-chiseled body structure, that is based on an all new design language.
Discussing the dimensional front, it's 4892 mm long, 1860 mm wide, 1837 mm tall, 2850 mm of wheelbase and carries a ground clearance of 225 mm. This would mean that the 2016 model will be able to deliver less bodyroll and better departure angle. Standing on the T6 platform, the fascia is fitted with a large grille flanked by projector headlamps on either side. A silver skid plate has been placed on the front bumper that extends to enclose the fog lamps.

Moving on to the interior, it is loaded with a host of appealing fitments that re meant to render comfort and convenience to the occupants. Some of these are- dual zone automatic climate control, voice control function on the steering wheel, cruise control, power foldable 3rd row seat, rain sensing wipers, terrain management system, remote key entry, MID facility and power windows accompanied by one touch and anti-pinch action.
Mechanical configuration includes two categories of diesel engines that consist of a 3.2 litre and a 2.2 litre Duratorq motor. The former churns out 196Bhp of maximum power and is available in an AWD setup, whereas the latter makes 157Bhp and is offered with both 2WD and 4WD guises. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and an automatic facility.
