Market reports were doing the rounds that the 2016 Ford Endeavour could be brought in India during the festive season, but things didn't turn out the way they were expected to be. And now when the year is finally going to end, we have received the reports that the model is going to launch in India by the mid of January, 2016. Another previous report has suggested that the booking for the same will start in December this year. It will be brought at Indian shores through the CKD route and the assembly will take place in company's Chennai plant.
The exterior is likely to be highlighted by a host of appealing features like chrome grille flanked by a pair of projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, flared wheel arches, aluminium scuffed plates, chrome bar on the license plate, new tail lamp cluster and wing mirrors with silver effect.

Talking about the interiors, one can expect fitments like 8-inch infotainment with touchscreen interface, SYNC 2 audio system accompanied by 9 speakers throughout the cabin, front parking sensors, 8-way adjustable front seats, power adjustable third row seats, electrically operated tail gate, etc. Safety features include ABS, EBD, Hill Hold, traction control and multiple airbags.

Mechanically, the latest Endeavour will be available with just diesel powertrain in two choices i.e. a 2.2 litre engine and a 3.2 litre motor. The former one generates 148Bhp, while the latter one develops 197Bhp. The transmission will be handled by either a 6-speed manual gearbox along with a 6-speed automatic transmission facility.
