India Bound 2016 Skoda Superb Revealed Online

We all are well aware about the growing sales graph of Skoda Superb and its popularity in Indian auto arena for the luxurious look and styling. Now the new generation model of Superb has been leaked online, which is expected on the launch card soon. The 2016 Skoda Superb is basically conceptualized from the MQB platform and it will be introduced as a third generation model in India. Introduced for the first time in 2001, it was based on the B5 platform and followed by second generation model in year 2008. Now company has planning to launch its flagship model in India with better comfort features and equipment.

According to the rumoured and market reports, 2016 Skoda Superb is going to be available with a chiselled moustache grille, new projector headlamps along with daytime running lights at the front and new tail gets with led tail lights, while the other features could remain same to the ongoing model.

Talking about the powertrain, new model has tipped out with similar power house to the last generation model. It includes 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol TSI engine that is delivering 158 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque and equipped with two transmission options, one is a 6-speed manual transmission and the other one would be continue with a seven-speed automatic DSG gearbox. Well, the diesel option is also available with 2.0-litre turbo diesel, mated with only 6-speed automatic option and generating 138 bhp of power at the front wheels and 320 Nm of torque.

Inside the car, it would be offering with a touch-screen infotainment system with steering mounted controls, Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity. All the other features are under the hood yet, but it could be unveiled before its official launch and as like company claims it would loaded with cutting-edge design on the outside and luxurious style on the inside to change the game.

Overall, the new 2016 Skoda Superb seems like a new avatar, which is good enough to compete with the likes of Volkswagen Passat, Toyota Camry and the new Honda Accord. The pricing aspects could lie between INR 22 Lacks to 27 Lacks (Ex-showroom New Delhi).
