2016 Yamaha FJR1300 Received Significant Changes

Yamaha has revealed the updated 2016 FJR1300 Sports Tourer model with a bunch of cosmetic and mechanical updates. The company has also disclosed the details of FJR1300A and FJR100ES model. Both the touring machines have received six-speed transmission instead of five-speed transmission and also benefits from an Assist and slipper (A&S) clutch that will endow dynamic highway riding, whereas the new six-speed transmission will enhance the overall riding performance. The 2016 models comes featured with an updated instrument console and received front & rear LED lights with a reshaped tail unit, while the new adaptive cornering headlights to help illuminate turns.

2016 FJR1300A-Blue

In terms of technical bits, both the motorcycles will power by the same 1298cc motor that also powered the outgoing versions. The 1298cc liquid-cooled in-line four cylinder motor now propels the liner power output with the help of six speed transmission. Both the models come with D-Mode motor mapping technology for selecting specific engine setting. Another dynamic features for the 2016 model are the cruise control, Anti-lock Braking System, heated grips, electronically adjustable windscreen and unified braking system.

The FJR1300A features a conventional forks, while the ES model rides on the electronically adjustable front and rear suspension system. The FJR1300ES is equipped with four preload settings and a total of 10 damping adjustments. Both the models feature a 12V socket to charge the accessories.

The FJR1300A and FJR1300ES will make their availability in Cobalt Blue and the prices will be announced in February 2016.
