The popular homegrown automobile manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra has launched a new limited edition of the XUV500 featuring new cosmetic tweaks like contrast colored panels and body graphics. Christened as XUV500 Sportz, the new edition is based on the top-end W10 trim and available on sale at the price of INR 16.6 for manual and INR 17.6 for an automatic unit (both ex-showroom, Mumbai). Earlier, the Sportz edition was offered on the pre-facelift model.
Aesthetically, the new XUV500 Sportz looks so impressive with the use of a lot of body graphics across the body. This includes new decals on the bonnet, orange contrast color inserts around the fog lamps, orange colored roof rails and door handles. Moving to the side, you will get to see Sportz decals on the ORVMs, doors and c-pillars. Other cosmetic changes come in the form of new darker grey alloy wheels and red brake calipers.
On the features front, the XUV500 Sportz comes fitted with - a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, reverse parking camera, cruise control, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlights among the others.
Powering the XUV500 Sportz is same 2.2-litre, turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine producing 140 bhp of power with 330 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox transmitting power to wheels.
